Rosewood B&B is a concept redesign focused on improving how guests browse rooms and reserve a stay online.
Many bed and breakfast websites make it difficult to quickly find room availability, pricing, or booking details. Instead of booking directly online, users often need to search through multiple pages or call the property to confirm availability.
This redesign focuses on creating a smoother experience where guests can quickly view rooms, understand pricing, and complete a reservation in just a few steps.

Audience
-
Couples or individuals planning short weekend getaways.
-
Adults in their late 20s–30s who are comfortable booking travel online.
-
Travelers who prefer booking online instead of calling.

Goal
-
Help users quickly find and compare available B&B rooms.
-
Make pricing and amenities easy to understand.
-
Simplify the booking process.
-
Reduce friction between browsing and reserving a stay.

Context
Small hospitality websites often struggle with outdated layouts and unclear booking flows. Guests visiting a B&B site are usually ready to plan their stay, so the experience should make it easy to explore rooms, check availability, and confirm a reservation without unnecessary steps.
Project Hurdles
Information Clarity
Guests need to quickly understand room options, pricing, and amenities. The challenge was presenting this information clearly without overwhelming users.

Booking

During design reviews, feedback highlighted a few areas where the experience could be clearer.
Before Redesign

01
Navigation needed to feel more structured and easier to scan.
02
The booking interaction needed clearer visual guidance.
03
Some content sections could be simplified to reduce clutter.

For the new design, several improvements were made to strengthen the overall experience, including:
New Design (Booking Flow)

New Design
(Site Updates)

01
Updated visuals to create a warmer first impression.
02
Simplified reservation interaction & improved layout of booking details.
03
Minimized breakfast menu structure & added grab-and-go options for flexibility.
04
Highlighted farm-to-table sourcing & connecting the farm partnership to the breakfast experience.

Designing the Rosewood B&B experience showed how important clarity is when users are trying to make decisions quickly. Small adjustments to navigation, information hierarchy, and booking interactions made a big difference in how easily the experience could be understood.
The project also reinforced how hospitality websites need to balance storytelling with usability. Guests want to feel the personality of the place, but they also need a clear path to booking their stay.
